 RIGA SYMPHONY VIRTUAL 2020 Regulation.

The Riga Symphony Festival collects talented and professional performers from all the world to host a high-level vocal competition. The festival is held as a holiday of singing and vocal creativity of youth, as a creative meeting of leaders and specialists in order to exchange experience, establish business and creative contacts.
Nominations:
* World hit – popular and jazz music and song.
* Author’s and original song.
* Folklore and folk song.
* A song by a Latvian composer or a song in the language of my country.
* The roots of our children’s talents are for talented singing parents. Here you can perform a work as a solo-duet ensemble of parents, and together with children.
Age categories for solo, duets, trios.

Until 05. 11.2020 – Call for applications
Until 01.12. 2020 – Spectator online voting.
20.12.2020 – Contest and Live version results.
26.12.2020- Awarding ceremony.
27.12.2020 – Gala concert and determination – awards of the Grand Prix of the festival.

✅General provisions and stages of Riga Symphony VIRTUAL-competition:

  Video of the performances of the contestants will be posted as they become available on the three official resources of the Riga Symphony Festival – a group on Facebook, a YouTube channel, an Instagram page. On each resource, voting with likes will be available.

🔺Rewarding:

 Prizes I, II, III, in all age groups will be determined by a professional international jury remotely, discussions will be held in the form of online conferences.
🔺Based on the results of the audience voting, the winners of the audience voting prize will be determined – 3 people who received the largest number of votes. Votes on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram are summed up. The votes are counted as of December 1, 2020.
🔺personal invitations to participate free of charge at the Tenth X Anniversary International Competition Festival Riga Symphony 2021 in Riga.
🔺The results of the online competition will be published on the official website and social networks. All participants of the online competition, to the e-mail indicated in the application, will receive

🔺 Participants will be awarded with invitations to other projects, competitions and festivals around the world on favorable financial terms.

✅Conditions and requirements for submitting applications for the online competition:
 Acceptance of applications and payments until 05. November. (video acceptance until November 10, if it is not possible to submit immediately with the application)
 Participation in Vitrual – competition 45 euros for one nomination
 Participation in Vitrual – competition 65 euros for two nominations
 Participation in Vitrual – competition 80 euros for three nominations

In the purpose of payment it is necessary to indicate – the name and surname of the participant, (age) for participation in the Riga Symphony festival Example – Ivanova Marija (15) Virtual Riga Symphony If the participant does not participate in the competition, the payment is not refundable.
Soloist-vocalist performs one song in any nomination, you can participate in several nominations, subject to payment for each.

✅VIDEO REQUIREMENTS

🔺At the beginning of the video, the participant is presented in English: Name, Surname, how old and where he lives, (country, city), and the phrase – “This video was shot specially for Riga Symphony 2020“.
🔺 The presence of a stage costume is required. The costume must be appropriate for the participant’s repertoire and age. – Shooting should be done horizontally, with a camera or phone
🔺 It is highly recommended to shoot on stage in good lighting, or at least the venue should have a clean, beautiful background. Only .avi .wmv .mov .mpeg4 .mp4 formats are accepted.
🔺MOVIE RECORDING TECHNIQUE Videos should be shot on a tripod or with special stabilization systems. The use of professional cameras or equipment is optional, but recommended to improve audio and video quality.
🔺 UPLOADING DOCUMENTS The video file should be uploaded to any platform for sharing documents on the Internet and cloud services (for example, Failiem.lv, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
 The file must be named: LAST NAME _NAME_Age -Song__Nomination _Example: Sokolova_Olga12_Toy_WH
 Used abbreviations for the file name:
* WH – World Hit
* F – Traditional or a Folk song
* LV- NL Latvian composer song or song native language
* OS -Original Song
* PC – The roots of our children’s talents are for talented singing parents.
 Download link must be provided when applying. If this is not possible, then the link to the video can be sent later by November 10 to an e-mail with the indication in the subject line and in the text: SURNAME NAME Nomination Age Song.
 🔺If unaccepted post-processing is found in the video or if there is a soundtrack fix, the participant will be disqualified without notice.
 🔺Copyright for videos is held by the competition committee upon submission. The Competition Committee may upload videos to a website, YouTube channel, or other online platforms for competition, promotion, or other use without notifying participants.
 🔺Any sent links, files and documents that cannot be identified, found, opened, downloaded and played will not be processed.
 The jury has the right not to award the GRAND PRIX title if the participants did not score the maximum number of points.
 The organizing committee has the right to stop accepting applications before the deadline if the participant limit is exhausted.
 The organizing committee reserves the right to make changes and additions to the Regulations without changing the general principles.
