Evelin Mei is a well-known conductor and professional musician in Estonia with more than 35 years of experience working with choirs, soloists, and children. She has made a significant contribution to Estonian musical life, including active participation in the Estonian Song Celebrations, and has provided high-level music education since the very beginning of her career.
Since 1993 she has been the conductor of the Pärnu Mihkel Lüdig Male Choir. For more than 10 years she served as Head of Education at the Pärnu School of Arts, and since 2021 has been the Director of the international competition-festival “Kuldleheke” (Golden Leaf).
For over 30 years Evelin Mei has also been the Chairman of the Music Subject Association, and she is regularly invited as a jury member at international song competitions in Estonia and across Europe.
In 2023 she was honored with the City of Pärnu Merit Award, one of her proudest achievements.
