IOANNIS MARONITIS

Ioannis Maronitis is an Electronic Engineer with extensive experience in the private and public sectors. His career includes work at ITT Marine Ltd and at the Hellenic Air Force Research and Technology Center, where he served as Head of the Electronic Protection Systems Department.

He has long-standing involvement in education, culture, and lifelong learning, having designed and implemented numerous cultural and training programs. His initiatives include the establishment of the Piraeus Youth Symphony Orchestra “Dimitris Mitropoulos”, and the organization of major international cultural events and festivals.

As founder and President of the UNESCO Club of Piraeus & Islands, he has led hundreds of cultural, educational, and humanitarian projects, and developed one of the largest social support networks in Greece for vulnerable groups.

Mr. Maronitis also represents Greece internationally as President of the Federation of UNESCO Clubs of Europe and North America and as a Member of the Executive Board of WFUCA, contributing to global cultural dialogue and international cooperation.
